Sound massage is a holistic relaxation method based on ancient knowledge about the effect of sounds, which was already used in the Indian healing arts over 5000 years ago. Peter Hess has developed sound massage over many years of research and practice and adapted it to the needs of people in the West. The possible applications range from gentle but highly effective relaxation to targeted use in orthodox medicine, physio, rhea and occupational therapy as well as in education.

PROCEDURE OF A SOUND MASSAGE
At the beginning of a session there is a Preliminary interview to discuss the current situation and the wishes for the sound massage.
During the sound massage, singing bowls are placed on the clothed body or held directly above it and tapped attentively. The singing bowls differ in size and the frequencies of the individual bowls address specific areas of the body. There are sequences where several singing bowls are placed on the body at the same time. The body resonates with the sounds and the individual body cells are moved and harmonised by the sound vibrations, which leads to a pleasant relaxation.
First you will lie on your stomach and after 25 minutes you will change to the supine position. If for some reason one side does not work, the sound massage can be adapted individually.
A final conversation gives you the opportunity to share your experiences, clarify questions and possible starting points for subsequent sessions can be noted.
